Boro’s bid battered by an uprising from Rebels

TWO early goals from relegation-threatened Slough Town saw them to victory over play-off -chasing Farnborough.
The hosts started well, Josh Jackman and Matt Lench having goalbound strikes blocked.
Slough didn’t have long to wait for the opener their pressure deserved. George Alexander swivelled before stroking a low effort into the bottom corner.
On 22 minutes, the Rebels doubled the advantaged with a penalty awarded after Francis Amartey had his strike handled by Adam Lovatt. Johnny Goddard slammed home the kick.
