George leads way for Red-hot Town

ALFRETON TOWN saw off fellow promotion-chasers Chorley after an impressive home performance that took the Derbyshire side to within one point of the play-offs.
Alfreton’s forwards had their midfield to thank, as goals from George Cantrill and Liam Waldock helped the Reds to a third straight league win.
In a low-key first half-hour, the first effort at goal came from Chorley’s Jack Moore, but his long-range strike flashed wide of the target.
