■ A late comeback from Maldon & Tiptree floored Cambridge City in a controversial finish.
City thought they had equalised from a corner late on through George Smith, but was controversially denied by the assistant referee judging the ball to have been outside the corner quadrant from 50 yards away.
Cambridge, boasting a number of former Maldon players, took the lead after 17 minutes when former Jammers’ striker Smith was on hand to turn home Gianni Ashley’s cross.
