Jenkins previously spent two-and-a-half years in charge at Court Place Farm, winning promotion to the in May 2023.

He departed after relegation last season to join , but was dismissed after just eight games in charge with Luke Garrard reappointed as his replacement.

It’s almost gone full circle as Jenkins takes over from Sam Cox, who leaves after 10 games at the helm. His only wins were against Step 4 in the and a 3-0 success against last week.

Tuesday night’s 4-1 thrashing at proved to be his last game in charge. He leaves the Hoops in 23rd spot in , one point from safety.

Jenkins’ first game back in charge is home to tomorrow in the FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round.

Of his return, Jenkins told the club website:

“I can’t wait to get started. It’s a club that I know inside out with a hugely talented group of players.

“We have a massive game in the FA Cup on Saturday so I’ll take training today, talk to the players, and then all of our energy will go in to getting this club back to where it belongs.”
