PETERBOROUGH SPORTS saw off Marine in an action-packed second half that included two goals for the hosts and a missed penalty for the Mariners.
Dan Jarvis and Dion Sembie-Ferris were on target for the Turbines.
A golden opportunity presented itself for Marine in the 12th minute as Peterborough failed to clear their lines but a low cross was fluffed by both Chanka Zimba and Sinclair-Smith with the latter blasting over the bar.
