A QUICKFIRE double saw Southport claim the points in a five-goal thriller at the Big Help Stadium.
A frustrated Scunthorpe fell to third in the table after a poor run in form in which the Iron have won just once in six matches.
Scunthorpe started well, with Danny Philliskirk having to clear off the line. The Iron broke through after 37 minutes when Callum Roberts expertly fired a free-kick from 25 yards over the wall and into the top-right corner.
