GRAYS Athletic won ahard-fought encounter against Maldon & Tiptree with a goal from Matas Skarna early in the second half, but opportunities were few and far between with both defences holding tight.
Matt Price had a very early attempt for Maldon but pulled his shot wide whilst Louie Remi for Grays had a couple of half chances.
Late in the half, Samuel Kuffour put Sonny Dutton clear for the visitors but he failed to hit the target.
With 12 minutes of the second half gone, Skarna exchanged passes with Aron Gordon down the left and his cross-shot floated ...
