■ GRAYS Athletic made it four league wins in a row with a combative performance against a determined Newmarket side who couldn’t break down the home defence, with the Grays back four resolute and Sid Walker excellent in midfield.
Grays led 1-0 at half-time thanks to Reon Smith-Kouassi’s smart finish and debutant Tyler Brampton’s fine goalline clearance from Santa de la Paz’s shot.
Luke Hirst made it 2-0 on the hour mark, set up by good work by Smith-Kouassi and then Walker’s header hit the crossbar from George Craddo...
