QUAKERS CAN’T BANK ON START

DARLINGTON took the lead inside the first minute but were held at home by Oxford City.
They made a blistering start. After Jack Lambert ran with the ball through midfield, he released Caden Kelly on the left and the winger’s low shot was parried by Kai McKenzie-Lyle, but Jack Maskell was on hand to tap home with 46 seconds on the clock.
Darlington, however, were unable to maintain the momentum, losing possession too easily as Oxford took control.
Oxford forwards Josh Parker and Corie Andrews were a handful with their strength.
