IF THERE was ever a game when bouncebackability was Leamington’s buzzword, it was this one.
After losing top scorer Cally Stewart to Shrewsbury and being soundly beaten by Chester on Tuesday, the Brakes needed to respond and did so in a tremendous first 15 minutes which ultimately won them the game, meaning ‘Jack Edwards Day’ could fully be celebrated.
The midfield general was making his 438th appearance for the club, breaking the modern-day record, and he and his team-mates ensured it would truly be a day to remember.
