Dorking Wanderers claimed all three points against through Matthew Briggs’ goal against Hornchurch in the National League South.
A throw flicked on by Ryan Scott and volleyed on the turn by Henry Hearn was just wide early on.
Another long throw from Myles Weston was cleared into the path of the onrushing Charlee Adams and his drive was defended well.
The opening goal came on 22 minutes – a deep cross from the left was initially defended well by the hosts’ back line but the ball broke to Briggs, who calmly slotted into the top corner.
