Esan helps Generals to take charge

CHESHAM UNITED moved level on points with Farnborough with this win in a mid-table battle.
The visitors took a fourth-minute lead when Connor Stevens mis-hit a clearance which let in Jonny Stuttle and his shot beat Ben Goode but came back off a post and eventually Richard Chin flicked the ball back over Goode into the net.
Chesham showed little up front in the early stages, but equalised on 18 minutes when Samson Esan crossed from the left and Mitchell Weiss found the net with a header at the far post.
