JOHNSON WINS IT JUST IN TIME

MACCLESFIELD 3 CURZON ASHTON 2

MACCLESFIELD secured a long-overdue win at the Leasing.com Stadium thanks to a Danny Whitehead goal and Justin Johnson double against a determined Curzon Ashton.
Justin Johnson opened the scoring after 15 minutes, firing across goal. It was short lived though as former Macc man Alex Curran restored parity just four minutes later, forcing the ball home after Macclesfield failed to clear their lines.
The pendulum swung once more in the home side’s favour as Danny Whitehead tucked away a low effort on the turn that found the far corner ...
