Martyrs kill off Magpies’ proud record

TEN-MAN Chorley fell to defeat against Merthyr Town to end the Magpies’ 20game unbeaten domestic home record.
A brace from The Martyrs’ talisman Ricardo Rees punished the hosts after Adam Blakeman’s first-half red card.
The Martyrs dominated possession throughout the first period and made their advantage count after Chorley went down to ten.
Right on the stroke of half-time, a long ball from Will Spiers found Rees, who finished quite brilliantly past Matt Urwin from a tight angle.
