GLEN TAYLOR’S second-half penalty was enough to give Spennymoor Town the points as they saw off Peterborough Sports in a scrappy encounter.
The front man’s 12th of the campaign proved the decisive moment as Graeme Lee’s men climbed back up to sixth spot.
It was the visitors who settled quicker and could have gone in front inside five minutes had Ben Beresford made more of a misplaced pass by a defender, but he fired a shot wastefully over.
