SPENNYMOOR TOWN’S National League North game against Chester was abandoned in the early stages of the second half following a torrential downpour at The Brewery Field.
An early-morning pitch inspection had passed the playing surface fit for action, but heavy rain during the latter stages of the first half and into the second period resulted in the game being abandoned on 56 minutes.
