RITCHIE BENNETT equalised late on to claim a point as Scarborough held Southport.
Chris Sze scored a penalty to give the home side the lead after the break but they failed to capitalise on chances created.
Jordan Slew flicked on a goal kick into the path of Sze, who took a touch before forcing goalkeeper Ryan Whitley into a great save within the first minute.
The visitors stayed alive in the first half, creating some good opportunities but struggled to test Whitley’s opposite number Chris Renshaw.
