AN eight-goal thriller saw Merthyr beat Worksop at the Windsor Foodservice Stadium.
The home side opened the scoring in the 14th minute as captain Luke Waterfall headed home from a corner.
The Tigers doubled their lead five minutes later as Martin Woods’ cross found Vaughan Redford, who flicked into the top corner, with the home side in control.
But Merthyr didn’t give up and pulled one back three minutes later through Cawley Cox, who went through one-on-one with the goal at his mercy and made no mistake.
