Scott double follows Ward’s rapid starter

TWO second-half Cedwyn Scott helped South Shields to a hard-earned victory at Oxford City.
To say Shields had a quick start would be an understatement. Immediately from kick-off, the visitors broke forward and Scott’s effort cannoned off the post for Dan Ward to tap home, with barely ten seconds on the clock.
The visitors controlled the opening 20 minutes, but the Hoops grew into the half with set-pieces proving their main danger.
