SCARBOROUGH strengthened their hold on a play-off spot thanks to first-half goals from Rio Allan and Stephen Walker.
But the Bulls, playing 50 miles from Hereford in Redditch, due to drainage repairs to the Edgar Street pitch, remain deep in trouble, eight points from safety.
Hereford held their own in the early stages before conceding on 20 minutes. Bulls keeper Theo Richardson did well to push away a shot from Harry Green with Freddy Willcox tidying up to concede a corner.
