Flint carves out a key goal for battling Bucks

IT WAS a challenging day for Merthyr Town as the third-placed Martyrs’ playoff progress was disrupted with a 3-1home defeat at the hands of middle-of-the-pack Buxton.
Merthyr got off to a cracking start, with Lee Lucas powering a superb strike into the top-left corner from range in the sixth minute.
However, the lead wouldn’t last long as the visitors from Derbyshire started playing well above the capabilities their 13th-placed position would suggest.
