SUB Malakai McKenzie came up with another late goal giving Southport all three points against Marine.
Both sides had to bounce back from FA Trophy exits but it was Neil Danns’ players who proved most clinical on the day.
Harry Huby had the first effort on goal but that was shanked wide and out for a goal kick.
