Gerring has previously represented and Plymouth Argyle before his most recent spell at Truro City where he reached the National South play-offs last season.
Both new signings are set to appear at their upcoming pre-season fixture at .
Tamplin took to Twitter to express his delight in landing the pair, saying: “Humbled to have these two great players at BTFC.”
The club is expected to announce another new signing on Thursday.
