St Albans sign David Moyo

National League South club St Albans have completed the signing of Zimbabwean international David Moyo.
The 23-year-old striker joins from neighbors Hemel Hempstead. where he struggled to regularly stake a claim for a starting position. .
Moyo began his career with Northampton Town, spending time on loan with the likes of Stamford and Brackley Town.
After leaving Sixfields, the striker decided to move to Brackley on a permanent deal, where he went on to become a fans favorite at St James Park, making 91 first team appearances.
After spending two and a half seasons with The Saints, Moyo moved to Hemel Hempstead last summer.
The front man has been training with St Albans for much of pre-season and has impressed manager Ian Allinson enough to be offered a permanent deal.
Speaking to St Albans’ official club website, Allinson said, “This is a real boost for us to get David on board after what has been an impressive summer within the camp.
“I’ve no doubt he would have had other offers but fair play to the lad – he’s worked really hard during the short time he’s been with us and made it very clear that he wants to play football for St Albans City.”
