Blair Turgott has left Maidstone United to join Swedish Premier Division side Östersunds FK.
The 25-year-old captained the Stones last season but despite being the club’s top scorer, they were relegated from the National League.
He follows Guiseley midfielder Alex Purver to Sweden on a three-year deal.
The winger initially joined Luke Garrard’s Boreham Wood on a short loan from Stevenage in September 2017, making the move permanent just before Christmas, but then went out on loan to Maidstone, who he later joined.
His career started at West Ham Academy and he made his Hammers debut against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup. He also represented England up to under-19 level, including 14 appearances for the under-17s.
A short spell with Coventry followed his time at West Ham, before he was snapped up by Leyton Orient in 2015.
From there he had a year-long spell with hometown side Bromley in 2016, netting an impressive 12 times from midfield and earning an England C call-up. That form saw him make his move into the Football League with Stevenage.
Turgott said: “It’s great to be here. I was here before and visited and liked the club and the players here. Now I am happy to have signed a contract and I will do what I can to help the team.”
Manager Ian Burchnall added: “We will use him as an attack player, says Ian Burchnall. We’ll see if he’s going to play midfielder or striker. But somewhere high up in the track it will be.”
