EASTBOURNE salvaged their first point despite having two players dismissed as Hampton missed a penalty for the second game running.
Max Kretzschmar’s curling shot that came back off a post signalled Hampton’s early intentions before Ryan Moss also struck the same post.
The Sports had their work cut out from 39 minutes when new signing Gary Charman was dismissed for denying a goal scoring opportunity. Kretzschmar stepped up and curled the freekick home.
