LEWIS SMITH struck twice as East Thurrock came from two goals down to earn a point Chippenham went ahead early on. A through ball from Jake Andrews found David Pratt who volleyed past keeper Lucas Lidakevidicus on nine minutes to give the home side the lead.
Chippenham kept up the pressure and were reward in the 38th minute when Will Richards headed home from an Andy Sandell cross.
Town were hit by a sucker punch two minutes after the restart.
