BRAINTREE clawed their way back to winning ways with this hard fought victory after their midweek slipup defeat at East Thurrock and in the end should have won by a bigger margin.
Their cause was helped eight minutes into the second half when the visitors’ defender Jack Cook was shown a straight red card by referee Declan Bourne for hauling down Iron midfielder Luke Allen who was clear on goal.
