CITY SUFFER FOR HOST OF MISSED CHANCES

MISSED chances came back to bite Chelmsford City once again as an 82nd-minute equaliser held them to a draw.
Calamitous keeping from Luke Purnell allowed Lee Barnard’s shot to dribble in on eight minutes.
Former Chelmsford striker Jake Reid came close twice before the Clarets’ opener but his early header and low driven shots were comfortably dealt with by Sam Beasant.
Barnard came close to grabbing a second but he could not wrap his foot around Daniel Green’s throw and Mike West shot well over.
