Jack Parkinson put the Wings ahead when a slight touch was just enough from Jack Jebb’s excellent cross.
However, Truro equalised six minutes later when Ben Harding’s shot struck his own player, Cody Cooke, who was given all the time he wanted to turn and fire home into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
Bradley Goldberg had a couple of attempts off target for Welling but Parkinson had to make a crucial block on the stroke of half- time.
