POOLE failed to make up any ground in their relegation battle as they failed to hold on to a lead.
The hosts were behind after only four minutes when Harley Willard was left unmarked at the back post to slot home from Jeffrey Monakana’s cross.
However Poole then had an excellent 20 minute spell. Marvin Brooks levelled the score when Warren Bentley found him and neatly beat his defender to fire under Jon Miles. Two minutes later Poole took the lead following Welling’s corner.
