MERSON’S FAB FOUR WRECKS THE ROCKS

SAM MERSON scored four as St Albans City hit East Thurrock for seven at Clarence Park.
The hosts opened the scoring within 15 minutes when Merson hit an effort that took a deflection and sailed into the top corner.
But the Rocks responded well and were soon in-front courtesy of two goals in six minutes.
Their first saw Lewis Smith slot home after Dean Snedker’s parry, before the Saints goalkeeper struggled with a Montel Agyemang corner and punched the ball into his own net.
