SOUTHPORT won this game but it was not always as easy as the scoreline may suggest.
The visitors opened strongly and dominated the first 15 minutes. They were quicker to the ball and stronger in the challenge. It needed a bit of luck and some solid defending for Ferriby to prevent Southport from scoring.
The closest to a goal was a Jack Sampson header that hit the bar.
Ferriby came in to the game and Jack Mail almost put them in front but his header was cleared off the line.
