THE hard work now starts for Gateshead after a finalday defeat handed a lively Leyton Orient a fully deserved three points on Tyneside.
The Heed’s season petered out with just one in their last 13 games – Steve Watson’s side signing off with four straight defeats and 11 goals shipped in the last three games.
A 17th-place finish was their worst in five years, the Tyneside outfit up for sale and facing an uncertain summer.
