DAVE DIEDHIOU left it late to fire St Albans City to an entertaining victory over Hungerford to start the season.
Hungerford, who went into the game as favourites with the bookies to be relegated, took an early lead when Ramone Rose latched onto the ball after a scramble in the St Albans box and sent a curled drive into the far corner.
