SUBSTITUTE Andre Johnson was the match-winning hero for Boston United.
His 76th-minute strike proved decisive.
On the balance of play it always looked likely that one goal would be enough.
There was little to choose between the sides in a closely- contested opening half.
Of the limited chances that materialised, it was Boston who had the better of them. On 14 minutes from a short corner, Andi Thanoj saw a curling effort pushed away by keeper Joe Green.
And four minutes before the break Adam Marriott had a shot blocked.
