TORQUAY took early control of this toptwo clash with two early goals which made it five league wins in a row for the Gulls and clipped Welling’s wings.
Despite the difficult conditions, the Gulls flew into their two-goal lead inside the first quarter-of-anhour, much to the delight of their manager Gary Johnson.
