HERNANDEZ RESCUES A POINT FOR THE BLUES

IT WAS a point apiece for Margate and Wingate and Finchley as both sides battled in blustery conditions at Hartsdown Park.
An entertaining encounter saw the visitors take the lead after only eight minutes. A glancing header was met by Rob Laney who managed to wriggle away from his marker.
After a good spell, Margate equalised. A great piece of goalkeeping distribution from Louis Wells triggered a fluid attacking move, unleashing Jack Paxman down the right wing who found Tom Murphy, the Dartford loanee ruthlessly rifled the ball home.
