TYRONE Sterling’s firstminute goal edged a hard-fought match for Concord Rangers at Welling.
His strike enabled the Beachboys to leapfrog the Wings into third place going into the new year.
Having conceded, Welling struggled to contain their lively opponents and Concord could have been out of sight after fifteen minutes.
Sterling side-footed wide from close range then Jack Midson was thwarted by a great save from Wings keeper Dan Wilks.
