EAST THURROCK set up an unlikely victory against a blunt Eastbourne side with two goals in the opening 20 minutes.
The Rocks were gifted a sixth-minute penalty, when Tom Gardiner’s handball was judged to be deliberate.
Sam Higgins drilled the spot kick into the bottom corner.
The game then turned on 19 minutes. Gardiner headed a corner against the bar and the ball was cleared, windassisted, into the Borough half, where Eastbourne keeper Sam Howes hacked it against the body of Sam Ashford. The goal-bound ricochet was tapped ...
