Iron get job done in scrappy affair

BRAINTREE TOWN have kept their recent unbeaten run going with a scrappy win over struggling Oxford City at Cressing Road.
The Iron scraped a win in this far from entertaining game but it was certainly not a convincing performance against a visiting team depleted by injuries.
After their shock FA Cup defeat to Enfield Town last week, the 481 home fans were hoping for a vast improvement in their side’s display but they were disappointed as Braintree struggled to overcome a plucky visiting outfit.
