ST ALBANS City ended their run of five home league defeats with a hard-fought draw against Chelmsford City.
The bottom-of-the table Hertfordshire side equalised with just over 20 minutes left in a strong second- half showing. But Ian Allinson’s men were unable to bag a winner against the Clarets.
The Saints fielded strikers Sam Merson and top scorer Joey Iaciofano – working his way back to full fitness - as an attacking duo. But the former was unable to convert a couple of good headed chances in an evenly matched first half.
