BOTH sides will claim they should have won this game as Chippenham’s first-half domination was matched by the Stones superiority after the break.
Despite Wealdstone starting fast, the hosts created most of the firsthalf chances but could only muster the single goal, although they had three penalty shouts waved away.
An out-of-sorts Stones back line were pierced on regular intervals by the Bluebirds, who took the lead to the delight of the home supporters in the thousand-plus crowd on the quarter-hour mark.
