Welling United 2-2 Slough Town: Bird flies in late to nick a point for the Rebels

A LATE equaliser from Ryan Bird helped Slough Town rescue a point.
It looked like Welling had done enough to win the three points but they switched off in the closing minutes and never-say-die Slough took full advantage.
The visitors went ahead in the sixth minute when Joseph Lawal put in a dangerous cross that was only half cleared and fell to Aaron Kuhl to fire home from the edge of the box.
Bradley Stevenson, a threat throughout, hit first time wide before Tom Derry twice came close to extending Slough’s lead.
