CHELMSFORD City ended Chippenham Town’s unbeaten record as the home side gave them two soft goals along with conceding a fortuitous penalty.
Charlie Sheringham was the Clarets hero as he netted twice and set up Simeon Jackson for the Essex side’s third. Sheringham opened the scoring on ten minutes when he converted a penalty after he appeared to have fallen over an outstretched leg.
Nine minutes later he doubled the lead as a long ball forward saw the home defence dither and Sheringham made no mistake in beating Will Henry.
