CHIPPENHAM came away with the points in a dour game that was effected by Covid absentees and injuries for both teams.
The first half was a forgettable affair with neither side threatening.
But just when it looked like it was going to be stalemate at the break the Bluebirds took the lead when Dan Griffiths ran clear from the halfway line and he made no mistake tucking it home.
The second period followed in much the same way as the first but Chippenham looked the more likely to add to their score.
