ELEVENTH TIME LUCKY AS HAWKS SINK FLEET

THE HAWKS had been on a crest of a slump, ten matches since they last won, but from somewhere they found the fortitude to ensure a double over promotion-chasing Ebbsfleet.
They got off to a flyer, winger Sam Smart was brought down by Ben Chapman in the area; Stefan Payne confidently converted the spot kick after only seven minutes.
The lead lasted just five minutes, a sweeping Ebbsfleet move setting up Alfie Egan to find Craig Tanner who hit a howitzer into the top corner.
