EASTBOURNE BOR-OUGH propelled themselves into the play-off places with a narrow victory over Chelmsford City.
It was the Clarets looked dangerous early in the game, with Tom Blackwell drilling a shot just wide of the Eastbourne post just minutes after kick-off.
Charlie Sheringham also had an early chance for the hosts, but his closerange header was cleared.
A good spell for the visitors was to follow, with Dominic Hutchinson gifted the best of the chances after a slip from Adebola Oluwo, but Jacob Marsden was on hand to produce a fine save.
