Joe’s late show ensures play-offs

A LAST-GASP penalty from Joe Iaciofano saw Oxford City and Braintree Town share the spoils at the Velocity Stadium, in the process securing the hosts’ place in the National League South play-offs.
The Hoops controlled the first period without creating too many efforts, however goalkeeper Billy Johnson had to be at his best after six minutes as a Jacob Bancroft shot from inside the box was blocked, the rebound falling back to the striker whose looping follow-up effort required a fine fingertip save.
