EBBSFLEET secured a top-three finish courtesy of two second-half goals against lowly Chelmsford.
The Fleet knew victory was a must to book their place in the play-off semi-final as news of Dartford’s goal rush at Eastbourne came through following a goalless first half at Stonebridge Road.
It prompted a much-improved second half from Ebbsfleet, who scored twice in five minutes.
Craig Tanner delivered a right-wing cross for defender Sido Jombati to head his first of the campaign on 49 minutes.
